In June of 1911, Camillo and Enrichetta Romagnoli, immigrants to Canada from Abruzzo, Italy, were married and set up home in Toronto, Ontario. For 8 years, they painstakingly saved their money until they could realize their dream – purchasing a fruit farm in the beautiful fertile region of Niagara. In 1919, they packed up their 4 children and moved to Beamsville, Ontario. Another 5 children were born and raised after their move and all 9 children helped their parents out make the farm a success.
Their second youngest child, Edward, remained on the farm and continued the farming tradition, marrying Jean in 1962. The couple raised 5 children of their own on the family farm, all of whom enjoyed the various aspects of growing up on a fruit farm.
Ed and Jean still live on the home farm and their youngest son, Jack, his wife Irene, and their two children, Ruth and Victoria, run the entire farming operation which now includes the addition of several other farm properties all in Beamsville. Irene also comes from a farming background and helped to run her family farm (Bizjak Farms) before joining Jack in growing their agribusiness into the successful operation that it is today.
